Basketball Recap: Denver Eagles Christian Homeschool Comes Up Short at Home Against Chesterton Academy of Our Lady of Victory

Denver Eagles Christian HomeSchool unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell to the Chesterton Academy of Our Lady of Victory Knights 62-58. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Chesterton Academy of Our Lady of Victory's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carter Grady, who went 6 for 13 on his way to 16 points and six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of John Miller, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 18 points and five steals.

The victory made it two in a row for Chesterton Academy of Our Lady of Victory and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Denver Eagles Christian HomeSchool will venture away from home to square off against Parkhill Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on December 20th. As for Chesterton Academy of Our Lady of Victory, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bishop Machebeuf at 7:00 p.m. on January 17, 2025.
