Basketball Recap: Worthington Comes Up Short

Worthington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 78-46 loss at the hands of the Fergus Falls Otters. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the 65-36 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Worthington's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Fergus Falls, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Worthington will face off against St. Peter at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in St. Peter's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matches. As for Fergus Falls, they will head out to challenge Sauk Rapids-Rice at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Sauk Rapids-Rice will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Fergus Falls surely won't give up without a fight.
