Jamestown has gone 8-2 against Poquoson recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Jamestown Eagles will head out to take on the Poquoson Islanders at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Jamestown and four for Poquoson.

Last Friday, Jamestown was beaten by New Kent 84-55. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 301st, while the Trojans are ranked 26th).

Meanwhile, Poquoson ended up a good deal behind Grafton on Saturday and lost 62-48.

Jamestown's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Poquoson, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-14.

Jamestown won a game that couldn't have been any closer in their previous meeting last Wednesday, slipping by Poquoson 39-38. The rematch might be a little tougher for Jamestown since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
