Softball Game Preview: Miller City Wildcats vs. Continental Pirates

The Miller City Wildcats will head out to challenge the Continental Pirates at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Miller City has given up an average of 6.5 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

McComb hit Miller City with a five-run third inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wildcats came up short against the Panthers, falling 11-3.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Continental's offense. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hicksville on Monday. The Pirates' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Miller City's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Continental, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7.

Miller City couldn't quite finish off Continental in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 and fell 4-2. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
