Basketball Recap: Clay Takes a Loss

Clay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They received a blow as they fell 65-50 to the Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington Blue Jays. The Panthers were probably out for revenge after losing 37-31 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Clay's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington, the win snapped their losing streak at seven games and leaves them with a 2-13 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clay will welcome Notre Dame at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington, they will be playing at home against West Union at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
