Softball Recap: Hesperia Takes a Loss

Hesperia lost against Academy for Academic Excellence back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Hesperia Scorpions fell just short of the Academy for Academic Excellence Knights by a score of 8-7.

Angie Villolobos made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Alana Rios also deserves some recognition as she stole her first stolen base of the season.

Hesperia dropped their record down to 2-2 with the defeat, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Academy for Academic Excellence, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Hesperia didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 13-8 loss against Academy of Careers & Exploration on the 26th. As for Academy for Academic Excellence, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 7-0 defeat against Granite Hills on the 26th.
