Softball Recap: Cathedral Picks Up Tenth Straight Win on the Road

Cathedral is still undefeated this season after their game against East Central on Saturday, but East Central came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Fighting Irish came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Trojans. The Fighting Irish have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Trojans, too.

Cathedral's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Anna Moore, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Cathedral pushed their record up to 23-0 with the win, which was their tenth straight on the road. As for East Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cathedral will take on Yorktown at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Central, they will square off against Greensburg at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Pirates will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Trojans surely won't give up without a fight.
