Basketball Recap: Fergus Takes a Loss

Fergus lost against Custer County two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Fergus Golden Eagles took a 46-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Custer County Cowboys. The Golden Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Fergus saw an underclassman step up: freshman Madden Norslien went 7-for-16 on his way to 17 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Lucas Golik, who posted eight points and six rebounds.

Fergus' defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Custer County, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-7.

Fergus does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Custer County, they will challenge Sidney at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Custer County is facing Sidney at the right time seeing as Sidney is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
