Baseball Recap: Kentlake Takes a Loss

After flying high against Auburn Mountainview on Thursday, Kentlake came back down to earth. The Falcons took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the White River Hornets on Monday. Considering the last time the Falcons couldn't score was back in April, the team can't take the result too hard.

Kentlake saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matthew Lawrence, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

Kentlake's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7-1. As for White River, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-10.

While Kentlake had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
