Basketball Game Preview: St. Stephens Indians vs. Draughn Wildcats

The St. Stephens Indians just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Draughn Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

After dropping their season opener at home, Draughn is headed out to face a Indians squad ready to give their home crowd a win. St. Stephens took a 57-43 bruising from Bunker Hill on Tuesday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it eight in a row.

Meanwhile, Draughn was able to grind out a solid win over Newton-Conover on Friday, taking the game 50-41.

St. Stephens was able to grind out a solid victory over Draughn in their previous meeting back in November of 2023, winning 50-43. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
