Basketball Recap: Bj Hopkins' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mcdonogh over Mount St. Joseph

McDonogh lost against Mount St. Joseph back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The McDonogh Eagles lost 65-45 to the Mount St. Joseph Gaels.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bj Hopkins, who posted eight points. Another player making a difference was Jeff Exinor, who put up nine points and five rebounds.

McDonogh has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-6 record this season. As for Mount St. Joseph, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-6.

McDonogh didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-49 victory against Kiski School on the 18th. Mount St. Joseph has also already played their next matchup (against Pallotti), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
