Jase Ferguson Goes Supernova in Central Clarion [Clarion/Clarion-Limestone/North Clarion] Win

Central Clarion [Clarion/Clarion-Limestone/North Clarion] picked up their eighth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Jase Ferguson. Ferguson turned in nothing short of a gem, throwing for 334 yards and four touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes, and also rushing for 66 yards and two touchdowns. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making three total tackles and defending three passes.

Unfortunately for Punxsutawney, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Ferguson. Ferguson threw for 279 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.7 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 97 yards on only 13 carries the last time he and Punxsutawney duked it out back in September of 2023.

Easton Belfiore Turns in Season-Best Performance

Brookville was led to victory by Easton Belfiore, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Belfiore rushed for 87 yards and three touchdowns on only six carries, and also picked up 50 receiving yards and a touchdown. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in August.

The win snapped Brookville's losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 2-6 record. Belfiore and Brookville will be playing at home against Port Allegany on Friday.

Kolton Griffin Puts an End to Brookville's Losing Streak on Friday

Kolton Griffin helped snap Brookville's six-game losing streak. On Friday Griffin rushed for 180 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

On the year, Griffin has run in those 2 touchdowns while averaging 38.5 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 20 rushing yards per game.

Sankey Came Up Big in Moniteau's 48-8 Loss

While Brendin Sankey delivered a dominant performance on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Moniteau. Brookville had no answer to Sankey as he threw for 146 yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 52 yards.

Moniteau is on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8. Sankey and Moniteau will challenge Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Hunter Scherer Rounds Out Top Five

Rounding off our Top Five is Hunter Scherer of Karns City. Scherer picked up 78 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 68 yards and a touchdown.

Karns City is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. Scherer and Karns City will square off against Keystone on Friday.
