Softball Game Preview: Cliffside Park Raiders vs. Dumont Huskies

Cliffside Park is 1-9 against Dumont since April of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Raiders will host the Huskies at 4:15 p.m. Dumont took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Cliffside Park, who comes in off a win.

Cliffside Park will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Monday, then bounced right back against Tenafly on Wednesday. The Raiders put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 24-1 win. The Raiders have beaten the Tigers the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Tigers has come to flipping the script.

Meanwhile, Dumont didn't have quite enough to beat Westwood on Wednesday and fell 6-4.

Cliffside Park came out on top in a nail-biter against Dumont in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 8-6. Will the Raiders repeat their success, or do the Huskies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
