Adams Central and Aurora are an even 4-4 against one another since September of 2015, but not for long. The Patriots will be playing in front of their home fans against the Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Adams Central has given up an average of 31.2 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Adams Central is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Central City on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Patriots were outmatched by the Bison and fell 56-27. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska football rankings (they are ranked 53rd, while the Bison are ranked fifth).

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jackson Foster, who threw for 262 yards and three touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Propp, who gained 79 total yards and a touchdown.

Meanwhile, the third road game was the charm for Aurora, as they earned their first away win of the season. They came out on top against Northwest by a score of 34-21 on Friday. The Huskies haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Aurora found their leader in sophomore Wyatt Pollet, who rushed for 174 yards and a pair of scores. Those 174 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Pollet. Canon Allen got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Aurora was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 276 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northwest only rushed for 174.

Aurora's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Adams Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
