Baseball Recap: Legend Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Rock Canyon, Legend was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Chaparral Wolverines. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Titans have posted against the Wolverines since April 22, 2017.

Tyler Houston tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out nine over 6.1 innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jacob Fladebo, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024.

Legend's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-14. As for Chaparral, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-9.

Looking ahead, Legend will host Castle View at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Titans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Sabercats have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season. As for Chaparral, they will head out on the road to face off against Eaglecrest at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
