Soccer Game Preview: Westlake vs. Herriman

The Westlake Thunder are taking a road trip to challenge the Herriman Mustangs at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Westlake's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Westlake took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They never let Bingham get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. The victory was some much needed relief for Westlake as it spelled an end to their four-match losing streak.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Whitney Adams, which was the first she's scored this season.

Meanwhile, Herriman was not the first on the board on Thursday, but they got there more often. They had just enough and edged out Cedar Valley 2-1.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 5-10. As for Herriman, their victory bumped their record up to 11-4.

Westlake suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Herriman in their previous meeting on September 4th. Can the Thunder avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
