Fort Hancock can bid farewell to their 19-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Friday. They skirted past the Immanuel Christian Warriors 45-42. The Mustangs' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Immanuel Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Abby Dominguez, who posted six points in addition to 13 boards and four steals. That's the most steals Dominguez has posted since back in November of 2024. Kezia Rayon was another key player, putting up nine points along with six rebounds and five steals.

Fort Hancock's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-18. As for Immanuel Christian, they dropped their record down to 10-9 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Fort Hancock has already played their next match (against Iraan), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Immanuel Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 70-29 defeat against Mesilla Valley Christian School on the 25th.
