Softball Recap: Harrison Takes a Loss

Harrison's last matchup with Quitman could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Monday. The Goblins lost 13-3 to the Bulldogs. The Goblins just can't catch a break and have now endured 13 defeats in a row.

Harrison saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Precious Davis, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Shelly Gellen also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Harrison's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Quitman, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Harrison will challenge Elkins at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Quitman, they will welcome South Side at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs are facing the Hornet at the right time seeing as the Hornet are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
