Lake Nona entered their tilt with Victory Charter School on Tuesday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Knights. The Lions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Knights, too.

Lake Nona had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-19, 25-23, 25-18.

Leading Lake Nona to victory were Jocelyn Serra and Gianna Ojeda. Serra had 17 digs and two aces, while Ojeda had 15 digs. Serra has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more digs the last three times she's played.

They weren't the only good servers: Lake Nona was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in four consecutive contests.

Lake Nona's record is now 13-10. As for Victory Charter School, their loss ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 10-2.

Lake Nona didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Boone on the 8th. As for Victory Charter School, after both having extra time off, they and Mater Academy Narcoossee will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:00 p.m. on the 16th.
