Moody took a seven-run loss the last time they faced off against Beauregard, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Blue Devils skirted past the Hornets 4-2. Winning may never get old, but the Blue Devils sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row.

Bella Turley looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one walk in 12 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Moody saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abi Gray, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Moody's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-7. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Beauregard, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 19-7.

Coming up, Moody will challenge Ramsay at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Beauregard, they will square off against Pike Road at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hornets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Patriots have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season.
