Basketball Recap: Lubbock Comes Up Short

Lubbock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Palo Duro Dons and fell 93-35. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Westerners this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-38 back in December of 2024.

Lubbock's loss dropped their record down to 8-19. As for Palo Duro, their victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 25-3.

Lubbock will welcome Coronado at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Palo Duro, they will head out on the road to face off against Tascosa at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Palo Duro knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Tascosa likes a good challenge.
