Softball Recap: Desoto County Wins Going Away Against Bonita Springs

DeSoto County posted their biggest win since March 19, 2024 on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Bonita Springs Bullsharks as the DeSoto County Bulldogs made off with a 10-1 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Mya Goodnoe made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Goodnoe was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

In other batting news, Emery Skinner was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jada Jones, who scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

DeSoto County now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Bonita Springs, their defeat was their first of the season and also makes their record 2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. We've got a battle between Bulldogs coming up. As for Bonita Springs, they will face off against Neumann at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
