Basketball Recap: Seaforth Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Seaforth can now relate to. They came up short against the Eastern Wayne Warriors on Friday, falling 68-47.

Despite the loss, Seaforth still got an impressive performance from Declan Lindquist, who posted 17 points. Another player making a difference was Duncan Parker, who put up 11 points.

Charlie Thomas continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Eastern Wayne, dropping a double-double with 27 points and 15 boards. The match was Thomas' third in a row with at least 15 points. Zavion Burden was another key player, putting up ten points and five steals.

Seaforth's defeat dropped their record down to 15-13. As for Eastern Wayne, the victory (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 22-4.

Seaforth does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Eastern Wayne, they will face off against Farmville Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Farmville Central has won 14 straight at home, while Eastern Wayne won eight straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
