Volleyball Game Preview: Calaveras Red Hawks vs. Big Valley Christian Lions + How To Watch

The Calaveras Red Hawks will take on the Big Valley Christian Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Calaveras won the last time they faced Riverbank and Isabelle Saiers did her part to make sure it happened again. The Red Hawks were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bruins on Thursday for which the team can thank Saiers, who had 13 digs and three aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

One reason for the win was Calaveras' just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-11, 25-10.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Lions on Thursday. Big Valley Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Linden, sneaking past 3-2.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Big Valley Christian who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 22-25, 25-16, 17-25, 16-14.

Calaveras' record is now 14-6. As for Big Valley Christian, their record now sits at 24-9.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's contest: Calaveras has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 8.6 aces per game. However, it's not like Big Valley Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 11 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.

Calaveras came out on top in a nail-biter against Big Valley Christian in their previous matchup on October 2nd, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Hawks since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
