Baseball Recap: Eustis Sets Scoring Season-High Against Tavares

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eustis). They were the clear victors by a 14-3 margin over the Tavares Bulldogs on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won eight in a row.

Dallas Rasmussen was a standout: he scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Andrew Walker was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Eustis was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .517. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tavares only posted a batting average of .263.

Eustis' victory bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Tavares, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eustis will venture away from home to square off against Deltona at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. We've got a battle between Bulldogs coming up.
