Baseball Recap: Gettysburg Takes a Loss

Gettysburg fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Red Land on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 10-9. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Patriots earlier this season, when they won 8-0.

Gettysburg is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-5. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only one runs. As for Red Land, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-9.

Gettysburg didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-2 defeat against Hershey on the 28th. As for Red Land, they have also already played their next game, a 5-1 win against Carlisle on the 28th.
