Softball Recap: Taylor County Bulldogs vs. Trenton Tigers

Taylor County had lost six straight at home, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 3-17 to make it seven. They fell 8-5 to the Trenton Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-0 back in March.

Kiersten Carter made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Jayden Freed, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one run.

As for Trenton, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-6. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games.
