Volleyball Recap: West Mecklenburg Comes Up Short

If West Mecklenburg was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Garinger on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hawks lost 3-0 to the South Mecklenburg Sabres on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Sabres this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-0 defeat two weeks ago.

West Mecklenburg's defeat was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-19. As for South Mecklenburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season.

West Mecklenburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South Mecklenburg, they are taking a road trip to square off against Myers Park at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
