Basketball Game Preview: Monroe Catholic Rams vs. Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears

The Monroe Catholic Rams will head out to face off against the Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Monroe Catholic took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 65-22 victory over Hutchison. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' Alaska basketball rankings (they are ranked 14th, while the Hawks are ranked 109th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Juneau-Douglas humbled Ketchikan with a 51-23 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Crimson Bears.

Monroe Catholic has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 36.6 points. As for Juneau-Douglas, their win bumped their record up to 14-5.
