Basketball Recap: Paulding Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Kayleigh Dunham and Brooklyn Schlatter

After soaring to 57 points the game before, Paulding was a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They received a blow as they fell 34-19 to the Ottoville Big Green. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 192nd, while the Big Green are ranked 42nd).

Despite the defeat, Paulding had strong showings from Brooklyn Schlatter, who posted 11 points and three steals, and Kayleigh Dunham, who scored three points along with eight boards and seven blocks. Schlatter is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played.

Paulding's loss dropped their record down to 15-5. As for Ottoville, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 19-2.
