Baseball Recap: South River Comes Up Short

South River extended their losing streak to four on Monday, dropping them down to 7-6. They lost 11-1 to the North County Knights. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Seahawks have suffered since March 23rd.

Parker Box was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple was his first of the season.

As for North County, their record now sits at 3-7. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

On North County's side, Gavin Boritz made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Boritz was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

In other batting news, Chase Harmon was a standout: he got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brandon Pasta, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
