Paloma Valley proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 12) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Arlington Lions 4-3. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Lions back in March, they had to take a 6-1 loss.

Paloma Valley's win bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Arlington, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 18-6 record.

Paloma Valley and Arlington should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Wildcats (ranked 134th) will meet Valley View (ranked 547th) at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Arlington will face off against Poly at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (30 vs. 313).
