Basketball Recap: Mangham Comes Up Short

Mangham lost against Arcadia back in December of 2015 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Mangham Dragons lost 61-41 to the Arcadia Hornets. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 244th, while the Hornets are ranked 84th).

Mangham has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season. As for Arcadia, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-3.

Mangham will venture away from home to challenge Rayville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Rayville knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight contests -- so hopefully Mangham likes a good challenge. Arcadia has already played their next game (against Lincoln Prep), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
