Softball Recap: Cape Henry Collegiate Comes Up Short

Cape Henry Collegiate and Nansemond-Suffolk Academy squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Cape Henry Collegiate had to settle for second. They lost 21-1 to the Saints. Having soared to a lofty 19 runs in the game before, the Dolphins couldn't push the score so high this time.

Cape Henry Collegiate saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Marshall Daniel, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Daniel is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season.

Cape Henry Collegiate has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-6 record this season. As for Nansemond-Suffolk Academy, the win was the 16th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-4.
