Basketball Recap: Atherton Comes Up Short

After flying high against Western last Tuesday, Atherton came back down to earth. The Atherton Ravens were just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 43-42 to the Male Bulldogs. The loss continues a trend for the Ravens in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost five in a row.

Atherton's defeat dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Male, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Atherton will square off against DeSales at 6:00 p.m. on January 21st. As for Male, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against St. Xavier at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th.
