Cheyenne Wells extended their winning streak to seven on Friday, bumping them up to 7-1. They took their game with ease, bagging a 75-6 win over the Hanover Hornets. The Tigers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

As for Hanover, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-4. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado football rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while Cheyenne Wells is ranked eighth).

When it comes to explaining why Hanover lost, don't look at Thomas Griffin Jr.. Despite the final result, he rushed for 83 yards and one TD on only ten carries. Griffin Jr.'s longest rush was for an impressive 51 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cheyenne Wells will host Branson/Kim at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Hanover, they will welcome Genoa-Hugo at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
