Baseball Recap: Canterbury Takes a Loss

Canterbury and Indian Rocks Christian squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Canterbury had to settle for second. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 14-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Crusaders in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost six in a row.

Canterbury saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabriel Blaxberg, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double. Ian Robinson was another, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Canterbury's loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Indian Rocks Christian, they pushed their record up to 16-10-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Canterbury does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Indian Rocks Christian, they will face off against Northside Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
