 After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Calvary Christian, Pinellas Park was happy to have turned things around  on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Boca Ciega Pirates with a sharp  12-2 victory. That's more bragging rights for Pinellas Park, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
  Dane Merryweather made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he  struck out ten batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   five  hits (and only one walk). Merryweather has been consistent recently: he hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in three consecutive pitching appearances. Merryweather was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-3.
 In other batting news,  Xinh Nguyen was  incredible,  scoring three  runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Seth Anderson, who  went 2-for-3 with a  triple and two  RBI.
 On Boca Ciega's side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Karter Gainer, who  went 2-for-2 with  an  RBI.
 Pinellas Park is  on a roll lately: they've  won seven of their last eight matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record  this season. As for Boca Ciega,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 4-17.
