Volleyball Recap: Ally Perez's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Flintridge Prep over Foothill

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Flintridge Prep couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell 3-1 to the Foothill Knights on Saturday. The Wolves' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

While Flintridge Prep had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 21 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-22, 23-25, 25-21.

Several Wolves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ally Perez, who had 19 digs. Perez has been hot, having posted 13 or more digs the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ashlyn Nam, who had 12 digs, five aces, and one block.

Flintridge Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 25-4. As for Foothill, they pushed their record up to 27-10 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Flintridge Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Foothill, they will face off against Cypress at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
