Softball Recap: Phoenix Pirates vs. Henley Hornets
Phoenix lost against Henley on April 6th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Phoenix Pirates wound up on the wrong side of a tough 16-1 walloping at the hands of the Henley Hornets. Phoenix has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
For Henley's part, they got a massive performance out of Gracie White, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. Jillian Vickery was another key contributor, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Phoenix's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Henley, their win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-3-1.
While Phoenix had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
