Soccer Game Preview: McKenzie vs. Madison

McKenzie is 0-3 against Madison since March of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Rebels are taking a road trip to take on the Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. One thing working in McKenzie's favor is that they have posted at least four goals in their last three contests.

McKenzie's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central 8-0. Considering McKenzie have won three games by more than three goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Madison's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. Neither they nor South Gibson could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw. The result kept Madison happy, as they haven't lost a game since April 8th.

McKenzie has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 36 goals over those seven matchups. Madison's draw makes their record 10-1-1 this season.

McKenzie suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Madison in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Rebels avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
