St. Paul Lutheran made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Wellington-Napoleon, but they still couldn't quite topple them. St. Paul Lutheran was the clear victor by a 9-3 margin over Wellington-Napoleon on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Saints have posted against the Tigers since April 9, 2018.

Jaydon Battista was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over 4.2 innings pitched. Battista was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Gus Sayre was excellent, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4. That hit was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Micah Truwe, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.
