There's no place like home for Plainville, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. Everything went their way against the Goodwin Tech Gladiators on Monday as the Plainville Blue Devils made off with a 78-52 victory. The Blue Devils' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

When it comes to explaining why Goodwin Tech lost, don't look at Nazir Russell. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double on 32 points and nine rebounds. Ja'Den Mathis was another key player, putting up four points.

The win got Plainville back to even at 2-2. As for Goodwin Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Plainville will square off against Bristol Eastern at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Plainville knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Bristol Eastern likes a good challenge. As for Goodwin Tech, they will head out to square off against Vinal RVT at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
