Softball Game Preview: Castaic Coyotes vs. Hart Hawks

Castaic is 0-7 against Hart since March of 2022 but things could change on Tuesday. The Coyotes will take on the Hawks at 3:15 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Valencia hit Castaic with a four-run second inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Coyotes came up short against the Vikings, falling 8-0. The Coyotes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Castaic saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tatum McAfee, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double.

Moorpark hit Hart with a five-run seventh inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Hawks lost 9-0 to the Musketeers. The shutout was out of character for the Hawks seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

Hart has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season. As for Castaic, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11.

Castaic suffered a grim 15-4 defeat to Hart in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Coyotes avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
