Baseball Recap: Geneva Extends Road Winning Streak to Three

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Geneva ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They came out on top against the Wheaton-Warrenville South Tigers by a score of 13-10. That's more bragging rights for the Vikings, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Michael Toole was a standout: he scored two runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024. Tate Beran was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.

Toole wasn't the only one making solid contact: Geneva kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in three consecutive games.

Geneva's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-3. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Wheaton-Warrenville South, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Geneva will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Tigers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
