Volleyball Game Preview: Mt. Ararat Eagles vs. Messalonskee Eagles + How To Watch

After both having extra time off, Mt. Ararat and Messalonskee will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.

Last Saturday, Mt. Ararat came up short against Gardiner and fell 3-1.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-15, 20-25, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Messalonskee had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Dragons as they made off with a 3-0 win.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Messalonskee took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-5, 25-14.

Mt. Ararat better focus on containing Maggie Hickey and Alanna Voter as the pair were huge in Messalonskee's win. Hickey had eight aces and eight assists, while Voter had ten digs and three aces. Those eight aces gave Hickey a new career-high.

Messalonskee was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 30 aces. They are 5-2 when they serve at least ten aces.

The victory got Messalonskee back to even at 5-5. As for Mt. Ararat, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
