Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Tuesday. Rabun Gap-Nacoochee took a 51-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Athens Christian. Rabun Gap-Nacoochee has struggled against Athens Christian recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Arina Pasztor put forth a good effort for the losing side as she shot 42% from the field on her way to 15 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Vivian McNabb, who posted seven points.

Meanwhile, Habersham Central strolled past Franklin County with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 61-45. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Raiders.

Rabun Gap-Nacoochee's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Habersham Central, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.

Rabun Gap-Nacoochee beat Habersham Central 51-38 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Raiders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
