Soccer Recap: King Takes a Loss

King fell victim to Goose Creek Memorial and their airtight defense on Saturday. They came up short against the Goose Creek Memorial Patriots, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 503rd, while the Patriots are ranked 132nd).

King's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-5-1. As for Goose Creek Memorial, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3-1 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Summer Creek the next time they take the pitch. King will host Summer Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Goose Creek Memorial will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
