Baseball Game Preview: Geneva Panthers vs. Slocomb Red Tops

The Geneva Panthers will venture away from home to take on the Slocomb Red Tops at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Slocomb took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Geneva, who comes in off a win.

It was a proper cat-fight when Geneva took on Samson on Monday. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 17-6 margin over the Tigers. The high-scoring effort was just what the Panthers needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Meanwhile, Slocomb lost 14-1 to Cottonwood on Monday. The Red Tops have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Geneva's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Slocomb, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Geneva couldn't quite get it done against Slocomb when the teams last played back in April of 2025 as they fell 8-5. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
