Softball Preview: Marsing Huskies vs. Nampa Christian Trojans        
        
		
            Marsing is 0-10 against Nampa Christian since April of 2021 but things could change  on Monday. The Huskies will welcome the Trojans  at 5:00  p.m. Marsing is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.1  runs per game  this season.
Marsing saw some tournament action  on Saturday. They walked away with  a   7-2  victory over American Falls.
 Natalie Thoene was  excellent,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  double. Another player making a difference was  Lily Thoene, who  went 1-for-3 with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double.
 Marsing was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .375. They are  a perfect 7-0 when  they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Nampa Christian came up short against Fruitland on Friday and fell  13-10. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
  Myranda Van Vliet was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 3-for-4 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs.  Chloe Shook was another key player,  going a perfect 5-for-5 with two  runs and one  double.
 Marsing's win bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Nampa Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 11-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp  on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Marsing has been swiping bases left and right this season,  having  averaged 3.9  stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Nampa Christian struggles in that department as   they've been averaging  an even more impressive 4.6  stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
